Guess wa-huuuuut?  Um, I’m pretty excited guys.  I have wanted to try one of these boxes foreverrrrr and finally had the opportunity to give it a spin.  And?  I’m so in love.  Like, if me and Box of Stylecould go back to my 8th grade formal, we’d totally be slow dancing to a sweet Boys II Men slow jam.

SUMMER LOVE FEST

I have to say that receiving this box makes you feel all kinds of celeb.  The box is black and all of the stuff is wrapped in black tissue.  So, if you haven’t been hunting spoilers online, you have no clue what you’re going to open up!The first thing I saw when I opened the box was this Sole Society Straw Panama Hat (Retail $27).Um, I want to go to Panama and wear this hat and stuff.  I might even strike some of these really fabulous poses on my trip!

The “OMG, I’m wearing a fabulous hat and taking a very, very obvious selfie” pose.The “I’m pretending I’m just standing here thinking about something while this camera hovers over my shoulder” pose.And, the “Am I on my knees or just really short and terrible at taking selfies” pose.Either way, this little hatty-hat is perfect for protecting my SUPER SENSITIVE (it’s so sensITtive I had to yell-type it) skin, and will also make me look super cool as I stroll the beach singing Boys II Men songs and drinking cocktails.

Speaking of super sensitive skin:  My face and cheekies got a few presents from BeautyCounter. The Color Pinch Cream Blusher in Hibiscus (Retail $37 bucks) comes in a really, really nice gold tube thingy, that kind of makes you feel fancy.  Especially if you’re driving your convertible down the strip with your sweet panama hat and just pop it out, look to the person driving the car next to you, give em’ a wink and apply a lil’ sweetness to your cheeks.  I mean, that’s how I’d do it.I did a little swatch so you could see the color on skin – and, well…if I’m honest, I did try to incorporate it into my selfie shoot, but those pics were so horrific I absolutely refuse to share them. I also got this super fun little Protect Stick Sunscreen (Retail: $18).  Suncreen on a stick?  I’ll take it.  And, also add 3 scoops of ice cream and a side of choco…oh, sweet Jesus I need off this diet.  Moving on.One of my very favorite items in this box (and the most highly anticipated) was this.  Oh sweet kimono love-fest. The Helena Quinn Kimono (an exclusive collab, retailing at $120) was and is gorgeous.  It was everything in person that I hoped it would be.  Silky, sheer, kimono-y.  It looks great with anything.  As evidenced by this pic of my body floating around in my closet.

And, the design is just beauteous!Versatility.  That’s what this baby is all about. Legit can wear it lounging around the house (and, ps. when you do that you feel totally high dollar) or you can throw it on with a cute pair of jeans and a white cami and rock it while running errands with your stylin’ three year old.I knew there was a pair of sunnies in the box so I was stoked to have them in my life, in person.These Raen Durante Sunglasses (mine came in black, retailing for $150)  were way better in person than they were in print, and I’ve been wearing them every day since they arrived!   I have about a bazillion pairs of sunglasses.  Mostly cheap-o’s because I have a toddler…and, because I also have “myself” and I pretty much break everything. This is a style unlike any in my collection. If these break, I’ll probably cry.  Bad.

Oh, and how about these hilarious pics of me trying not to smile or laugh, while trying to get a pic of myself wearing these shades.  OMG, I hate having my pic taken, but when I do it myself it kinda cracks me up!!Because everything was wrapped in black tissue, I had no clue what was coming next, which is honestly the way I like to unbox stuff.  It’s fun to have a little something to get excited about, so I love how Box of Style shares 1-2 pieces to get you your heart all fluttery and excited while you await its arrival (and the rest of the surprises).This The Brave Collection Compass Necklace was a total love.  Handmade by fair-trade artisans in Cambodia with 10% of the profits donated toward the fight against human trafficking (such a horrific, sad and serious issue).I love cause worthy pieces, and this one is the perfect addition to my collection (plus, well let’s be honest, it goes great with all the other stuff that came in the box).  Retail:  $115
